In our family its tradition for children to have grandparents name as their middle name. I have a sister and we both have our grandmother's names (one each) my dad had his dad's name as his grandad had the same name as his brother! Slightly different on that side. DH has lots of siblings and they all have a grandparents name.
The only person that hasn't been given a name is one of my grandad's. However, my dad will be upset.
