I do think the programme is cute though.

She looks so chilled and happy. I can barely cope with toddler DS even though he's usually calm and doesn't often throw tantrums. God knows how she copes with a million children.

It is not the most grounded in reality programme is it lol
My Great Grandma had 17 children pre WW2. 15 survived into adulthood although one great uncle died in WW2. They were all well behaved and looked smart. Just a regular rural working class family. I have a lot of admiration and respect for Great Grandma, I have no idea how she managed!

I'm pretty certain she is a foster carer for all the other children, after accepting she and her husband were sadly unable to concieve. Then after spending years helping children in need and providing them with a beautiful, calm and safe(apart from those windows the like to hang out of) home. She very unexpectedly falls pregnant and to help the younger ones cope with the big upheaval she tells them stories about 'Magic baby Jake'
