Isn't it "knob" rather than "nob"?

Knobhead....as in.

ExcuseMyEyebrows · 11/06/2017 10:36

I thought it was 'nobs' too but happy to be corrected as I'm a bit of a pedant.

I used to be a big mocker op but I'm trying not to do it too much now - live and let live and all that.

NormaSmuff · 11/06/2017 10:39

hospital bed pics??

SharonBotts · 11/06/2017 10:40

It's 'knobs'.

Dandandandandandandan · 11/06/2017 10:40

I thought it was nob for dick and knob for door!

Dandandandandandandan · 11/06/2017 10:41

As in, short for nobility, which in true British fashion eventually became something to mock!

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 11/06/2017 10:41

I always thought it was knob. I like a bit of wall art - what makes someone a wall art knob though? Need to know if I am one Grin

LovelyBath77 · 11/06/2017 10:43

well better than getting angry, which is another affect it can have I suppose.. YANBU

WeAllHaveWings · 11/06/2017 10:59

Nob = well off/posh

Knob = a roundish lump of something i.e. Door knob, knob of butter, or the well known penis insult.

Guess it depends if op is insulting their poshness or calling them penises.

TheLegendofGreySock · 11/06/2017 11:13

It's knob. As is penis, as in dick, as in cock, as in willy. HTH.

cushioncovers · 11/06/2017 11:24

It's knob aren't we missing the point of the ops post?

BeepBeepMOVE · 11/06/2017 11:25

It's knob, short for knobhead= dickhead/ dick

PeanutButterBunny · 11/06/2017 11:28

Erm, as much as I hate attention seekers, why would you mock someone in a hospital bed or has relatives in a hospital? It makes you sound like a much bigger KNOB.

Gingernaut · 11/06/2017 11:32

The kind of knob who posts from a hospital bed is the sort of knob who's #Blessed, #MakingMemories and "huns" a lot.

Karma, dudes. Karma

dontbesillyhenry · 11/06/2017 11:33

Because facebook hospital check in's/smiling hospital bed pictures for a minor procedure is the height of nobbish/knobishness

OP posts:
pipsqueak25 · 11/06/2017 11:42

let's be honest a lot of social media posting are knobish posted by total knobs,

MrsOverTheRoad · 11/06/2017 11:47

Yes....nob as in "posh bugger" and knob as in penis.

cushioncovers · 11/06/2017 12:26

hospital bed pics??

I assume it's those attention seeking posts of people who are in hospital for a minorish ailment that feel the need to do selfies from them. My exh and his partner did a smiling selfie from the back of an ambulance that they had dialled 999 for she was back home a few hours later. But wanted everyone to know she had had a 'funny turn'. Hmm

dontbesillyhenry · 11/06/2017 15:23

It's all about the 'omg Hun what's wrong' 'ur so brave hunni' type indulgence they get. I've been really surprised by the seemingly normal people who've done it recently too
