Not posting this to start a massive politics debate I'm just interested in the above question.

I voted labour, I put something about it on social media and a few older people have commented saying I obviously don't have "brains or life experience as them" & "young ones voting labour don't know what they are getting themselves in for".

I'm hoping I'll be proved wrong.
Not that it matters but I'm late 20s and those who made these comments range between 50-60.

Hope this doesn't come across as ageist, it's not my intention at all Blush

38 and work in financial services. DH is also 38 and a Civil Servant. Our household income exceeds £200k so Labour in power means facing a higher tax bill but we firmly believe in the mantra 'for the many not the few' and that because we've had good luck and opportunities it is our duty to give back and support those who haven't.

I'm very glad that the constituency I live in saw the light and we are rid of our odious Tory MP and have a new progressive Labour representative.

I'm 62 and from various forums I belong to, I know lots of over 60's voted Labour, but you'd find this age group on Gransnet rather than Mumsnet, no doubt.

Suttina · 10/06/2017 18:17

I'm 47 DP is 50 DD 24 DSS 23 all voted labour. I joined the labour party to vote for JC as leader. I want a fairer more equal society. BTW I'm a teacher earn less than £20,000 and I would be prepared to pay more tax to make sure public services were well fund.
