Not posting this to start a massive politics debate I'm just interested in the above question.

I voted labour, I put something about it on social media and a few older people have commented saying I obviously don't have "brains or life experience as them" & "young ones voting labour don't know what they are getting themselves in for".

I'm hoping I'll be proved wrong.
Not that it matters but I'm late 20s and those who made these comments range between 50-60.

Hope this doesn't come across as ageist, it's not my intention at all Blush

Was volunteering on Thursday and sat making calls to voters with two gentlemen over 75.
There have been younger people too but a good spread in my constituency (marginal, we held).

DH and I are early 40s. He voted Labour but I voted LibDem. We are in a super safe Tory area so I used my vote as a proEU/anti-Brexit vote. DH is in one of the sectors that Labour want to privatise and will probably earn over £80k, so could risk his job/future earnings. It's about the many, not just the few, even if the few includes us!

BikeRunSki · 10/06/2017 17:35

But I have voted labour in all general elections since I could vote; have occasionally swayed for local and European elections.

TheNumberfaker · 10/06/2017 17:36

I meant nationalise of course, and I usually vote Labour too.

I'm 37 and DH is 42 – both voted Labour

My parents are 66 & 67 and voted Tory (my Dad because he can't stand Corbyn and my mum because "she's always voted Tory and been better off under a Tory govt" Both ex-teachers, so I'd be very interested in what they would have done if they were still teaching.
