He's made a mockery of the Labour Party and won votes by creating a manifesto that the country could not afford to deliver!!!

Resign JC !!!

That isn't how politics works, OP. They really should make the subject mandatory at school - so much needless ignorance amongst the electorate.

Dd voted JC she's just 18 but already can see no future under the vicious Tory bastard's cuts

PumpkinPiloter · 09/06/2017 10:38

It really is sad that so many people believe that young people purely voted to scrap tuition fees.

God forbid that young people might do their own research and realise they would prefer to have many of the benefits their parents and grandparents enjoyed.

Aeroflotgirl · 09/06/2017 10:39

He promises the earth which he won't be able to deliver. Yes TM should resign too.

Aeroflotgirl · 09/06/2017 10:41

pumpkin a lot might have, yes some coukd have done their reaearch, not all though.

50ShadesOfEarlGrey · 09/06/2017 10:41

Yes, you are being so U, that I'm sure a right wing paper will be quoting this thread very soon.! I think we aint seen nothing yet! The sort of momentum that JC has started to build will continue to grow. I never thought I would be praising the biased media, but because they haven't been telling everyone of the incredible scenes wherever JC has been, crowds so huge they've had to call in the police, so many 1000s of helpers in constituencies that they have had to turn people away, 10k people attending each rally, etc. Etc., this has come as a shock to Tories everywhere. My son attended one of the rallies and said it was like the coming of the messiah, with people crying outside because they couldn't get to see and hear him! 😀

There is no need for austerity Britain. We are a richer country now than ever before. All these young educated people can see that and have the enthusiasm to work towards a different outcome.

AFierceBadRabbit · 09/06/2017 10:42

Hey, if you fell for the hogwash about corbyn backing NI terrorists then the irony in this following link will make you shudder - familiarize yourselves with the DUP ladies and gents!
(who many believe the tories will now be teaming up with)

I present to you: www.opendemocracy.net/uk/adam-ramsay/so-who-are-dup

Scary eh?
But yeh, keep the shade on corbyn, and perhaps we just won' t notice what's coming.

Aeroflotgirl · 09/06/2017 10:43

I voted TB back in 1997, I just turned 18, and thought he was a cool dude. Yes a lot will be thinking like me unfortunately, I cringe when I look back.

Mulledwine1 · 09/06/2017 10:43

The DUP however are akin to UKIP in their outlook, so think with their negotiating, we might see & even more right wing government then had we had an outright Tory majority

The DUP are certainly right-wing when it comes to things like abortion and gay marriage, (but I do not think they will press for those laws to be changed in Great Britain) but they do not want a hard Brexit. Even if the only outcome of this is that we stay in the customs union, that will make an enormous difference to our being outside the EU, the economy and the cost to business given the supply chains that criss-cross Europe.

I never thought that I would welcome the DUP having any influence, but sometimes you have to hold your nose and do business with people you don't like very much for a common aim.

It's a pity that the Libdems ruled out a coalition as I'd have preferred their influence, but it is what it is.

Fab39ish · 09/06/2017 10:44

And your point is less worried?

LouiseBrooks · 09/06/2017 10:44

The DUP makes the current Tory party look left wing. They are vile.

Some of your JC fans seem rather happy considering he lost?

Of course we are. He was fighting against a vile smear campaign from the right, the press and members of his own party. He's pulled off something astounding in the weight of all that.

lessworriedaboutthecat · 09/06/2017 10:49

FAB its not really point however it is an interesting fact. She still ran a shit campaign.

Gottagetmoving · 09/06/2017 10:51

JC has done a brilliant job
I am astonished there are people who will still vote Tory after they have done so much damage and hurt so many people.
People who have more than they need wanting those who have little to have even less.
Selfish....just selfish.

Would you like to enlighten me on how politics works since you've clearly got the heads up?

nannybeach · 09/06/2017 10:59

Am with you OP, I am old enough to have lived under a lot of labour governments, saw what they did. TM didnt make silly promises

AllThePrettySeahorses · 09/06/2017 10:59

I'd like to see all the leaders go tbh, except maybe Tim Farron. Good riddance to Nuttall, who's the first to throw in the towel.

Londonlovely · 09/06/2017 10:59

YABU OP Biscuit Corbyn did fantastically.

aquashiv · 09/06/2017 11:00

Nice try Tessa.

Smellbellina · 09/06/2017 11:01

The man's a legend. I think it's safe to say his leadership is fully secured now

PortiaCastis · 09/06/2017 11:01

Labour gained 29 seats so why should JC resign

Smellbellina · 09/06/2017 11:03

I wonder how long it will be before TM resigns. They haven't got an obvious option to replace her

fruitlovingmonkey · 09/06/2017 11:05

I'm not a Corbyn fan, although he has grown on me by conducting a positive campaign.
He's mobilised a lot of voters and has a huge following. I don't think the Labour Party would do themselves any favours by casting him aside now.
I think he needs to team up with someone centrist for election 2017.2/ 2018.
