He's made a mockery of the Labour Party and won votes by creating a manifesto that the country could not afford to deliver!!!

So a man who does suprisingly well in an election despite all the shit thrown his way but the person who remains PM through sheer arrogance, despite not being able to even get a majority vote when it should have been a breeze, should do what exactly? Hmm

WallisofWindsor · 10/06/2017 19:03

Looks like Theresa May is likely to go in a few days time.

OculusReparo · 10/06/2017 19:06

Yes, you are being unreasonable, and if Labour MPs were actually united and stopped trying to backstab JC after he was elected as the leader for the second time, then he would probably have won this election!! Plus, despite the media smear campaign, he did surprisingly well.

Besides Ruth Davidson, the leader of the Scottish Conservatives, helped TM secure 13 seats north of the border, which is arguably a pivotal reason why the Prime Minister has been able to hold on to power.

mumeeee · 10/06/2017 19:13

YABVU. He definitely shouldn't resign. TM has made a complete mess she is the one who should resign

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/06/2017 19:16

Is that you, Theresa

Jellykat · 10/06/2017 19:25

You're either being very very unreasonable, or joking...

HelsinkiHome · 10/06/2017 19:58

Theresa, get off MN and go press your red suit.

peukpokicuzo · 10/06/2017 21:15

JC and the whole Labour Party have played very very well.

If any other leader had been in place, and if the PLP had not been so obviously divided and resentful, the election would never have been called.

When the election was called they suddenly pulled together and ran the best campaign they could and were very successful. Any speculation about how the election might have gone if there had been a different leader, or if the PLP had accepted JC sooner, are ridiculous. If that had been the case there would not have been an election.

If the PLP can keep it together and unite under JC for just as long as TM can keep her act together with the DUP (whether that is 5 months or 5 years) then JC will be the next PM.

MsMartini · 10/06/2017 22:31

I don't think so, I am afraid. I think the tories ran a shockingly, searingly, astonishingly bad campaign with a terrible leader. We may never be so "lucky' again (Ruth Davidson anyone?). We hear from few Labour voices and they managed to contradict themselves; it is just the tories somehow did even worse. Neither party went into detail about Brexit - the major challenge facig the UK - or explained how they will achieve things the EU has already said are impossible. The IFS said neither manifesto set the choices out honestly. We deserve better on both sides of the political divide.

YourWinter · 10/06/2017 22:46

He refuses to sing the National Anthem, does not wear a poppy, he is an IRA sympathiser and should never have had a place in this country's politics. Awful, awful man.

christinarossetti · 10/06/2017 22:56

What a masterful analysis of someone about to embark on their ninth parliamentary term winter.

Fab39ish · 10/06/2017 23:03

That's funny because I just googled Jeremy Corbyn Poppy and found a photo of him wearing one and holding a wreath too.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 10/06/2017 23:05

Loads of people dont wear a poppy

And have you seen footballers when the national anthem is played? Not many of them singing

PortiaCastis · 10/06/2017 23:10

For clarification

AIBU in thinking JC should resign?
RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 10/06/2017 23:11

Now if someone could just find a video of him singing the national anthem...

TitsalinaBumSquash · 10/06/2017 23:15

He said he chose respectful silence rather than sing, I don't see an issue with that. He has also said he understands the criticism and will happily sing at future events.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 10/06/2017 23:19

tits

I do find that its kinder to everyone if i dont sing out loud at public events

ToastDemon · 10/06/2017 23:22

Just goes to show people will choose to believe any old shite if it fits with their prejudices.

Scandelicious · 10/06/2017 23:23

There's a huge huge difference between a private citizen not singing and someone in public office not singing.

PortiaCastis · 10/06/2017 23:26

I sing Cornwall my home

Kokusai · 10/06/2017 23:27

I was all over the JC hate, JC is a joke stuff over the past year or so.

But credit where credit is due he has stuck to his principles and has come across really well and has given a new generations. Socialist message for the first time.

I'm not massively left but I can appreciate the merit in that.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 10/06/2017 23:35

kokusia

I agree

But i wish the tv would stop playing clips of labour supporters singing 'keep the red flag flying' cos its in my head now and i keep singing it

Power to the people!

HelenaDove · 11/06/2017 00:09

I recognize the OPs username She is often to be found on the Relationships board telling posters to LTB.

But it seems she has been doing this while being happy to vote for cuts to DV services.

Cognitive dissonance.

HelenaDove · 11/06/2017 00:47

Im 44 and i voted Labour So did DH who is 67.

Butterymuffin · 11/06/2017 00:50

Theresa, hello! Very amusing thread but shouldn't you be getting on with the job?
