It's raining again and I insist it stops for Sunday when my son is throwing a barbecue for my 65th birthday.

Oh and my great niece, 3 in August, is wonderful and we adore each other!

It can't rain tomorrow either as it is Brass Band Contest Day and it is pants if wet.

Against all MN tradition, my mil can be very nice. She has just popped round (20 min drive) with a carrot cake, a chocolate pie and a quiche. She didn't even stay for a cuppa!

Can I get some motivation to get packing from this thread too, please? I'm moving out on Saturday, and still have the kitchen and some other bits to do, and I m getting nowhere as I've had D+V the last two days Sad I need a big kick in the (waterproof Grin) pants as the movers are supposed to be coming tomorrow afternoon, and I'm nowhere near ready...

I got home from our Mexico honeymoon this morning. I haven't slept since Tuesday night, because of a crappy flight time plus delays - I'm actually bordering on hysteria from the lack of sleep ConfusedGrin

But DH has just put 2yr old DS to bed and gone to get a curry then it's STRAIGHT to sleep!

And look, just look at how gorgeous it was....

Bringme I wouldn't worry about a little blow out like that-it's around 550kcal and if you stick to your 800 the rest of the day you'll still be in a deficit Smile

Judas
I'm whispering this so the bad mum police don't hear but the mentioned 2yr old, he didn't come with us Blush
He thinks we went to work on an aeroplane and stayed at home and had a lovely time being spoilt rotten by DM and MIL

We spent 10 days in 5 star all inclusive CHILD FREE paradise Grin

I hope I don't break the thread but I'm going to use a banned word....

DS1 is sad because his Government & Politics AS exam went badly. The silver lining is that he came home and comfort-baked, so we had warm homemade chocolate brownies with vanilla ice-cream.
