To think those "which party should you vote for" quizzes are actually quite unhelpful

I've done two so far, and to say they're inconclusive is an understatement...

Also a bit distressed about my relatively high UKIP score on one of them, particularly as a remainder!

Unfortunately the three left-wing parties have so much in common that they split the vote. A left-wing coalition might have stood a chance against the Tories had there been time to prepare. But so be it. It's a real shame.

I get bored with them and usually end up as a Green. And I don't have one of this'd and wouldn't vote for them if I had.

Do the vote for policies one.

MacarenaFerreiro · 07/06/2017 21:18

Totally agree. Because for most of us there are a couple of key issues which decide our vote. I might do a quiz which tells me I agree with 75% of what the SNP say, but I would never vote for them in a million years as I fundamentally oppose independence.

Mine came out 50% ish on all of Labour, Lib Dem, Conservative and UKIP, with 45% ish for the national parties and Greens.

Which told me there's an awful lot of overlap.

I looked to see who I agreed with most on the issues I think are most important this time (education and health) and voted for them (postal).

I feel very sorry for unionist friends in Scotland. Stuck between a rock and a hard place and will be voting holding their noses.
