She clearly thinks I am!

She's nearly 3 weeks old, was sleeping peacefully on me and had been for 20 minutes or so, so I popped her down and got myself a drink and snack. Came back and she started crying so I picked her up again, 30 minutes I've been trying to settle her- every 2 mins or so she lets out a huge scream and I have to jiggle/pat till she quietens. Haven't even managed to have my drink yet!

Just enjoy the cuddles. My regret is I didn't cuddle dc1 more. I wasn't well and had read you could spoil them. Luckily he and I are very close but I still have the sadness.

My dd was a clingy section baby too (now 16 and I'm lucky if I get a smile some days Grin)

Things to try
Swaddling
Heat up where you're gonna put her down (I used a hot water bottle but of course removed before laying baby down, upon advice from mum who also gave same advice as caffelatte had - put a worn top in with baby for the scent)
White noise (i used hairdryer but now there's apps 🍾)

Congratulations, drink lots of STILL drinks (trapped wind/bloating with section scar NOT fun), walk as much as possibly with a straight back and you'll heal faster, hopefully you're taking a Multivit+minerals for healing too. Also lavender, rose and neroli essential oils in a warm not hot bath aids healing. Take care
