To be freaking out!

I am severely emetophobic, posted on here about it lots.
My DS (3.5) has just had a big drink of smoothie and then about 10 mins later got the hiccups. He hiccuped/burped/coughed and some of his smoothie came back out. Is this normal? He gets hiccups a lot, and they have never caused him to bring anything up!
AIBU to worry that this is just a precursor to a night of vomiting??
I'm freaking out big style. I have tried so much counselling, medication, alternative therapy but I am still a mess Sad
Please no one take the piss, this is very real for me.

It's fine, he probably just had too much smoothie, and brought a bit of it back up because his stomach was full.
I know it's easier said than done but honestly don't worry Flowers

Sounds like he solutions drank too much too quickly and refluxed some back up. He'll be fine now he's got rid of some.

CleopatraTheCatLover · 05/06/2017 18:51

Probably too much smoothie in one go.

SparklyUnicornPoo · 05/06/2017 18:59

if it was only a little bit he probably just drank too fast and will be absolutely fine now, my DS used to do it all the time.

Ames33 · 05/06/2017 19:45

But he has never done it before, and only had a little carton of smoothie. I just can't be rational

But you can't do anything, can you? None of us can tell you he will or won't be sick tonight. Worrying will make literally NO difference.

If I were you I would prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

FWIW, I used to be like this when younger, the smell would make me instantly sick and it was awful. Then my mum got HG when I was a teenager. Sick ALL THE TIME. I knew I had to help her and I got over it.

I'm absolutely not saying you need to 'shake it off' - I know this must be distressing, but you have to try to get some useful help. How on earth have you managed with children? You poor thing.
