After each of the recent atrocities, I've suddenly become very aware of the fragileness of life and thought, wow, I'm never going to take life for granted again or sweat the small stuff, I'm going to cherish my loved ones and remember what's really important.
And then what do you know, the next day I'm worrying because the house is messy, or a fridge can only be delivered during working hours, or I've let £4 worth of chicken go off.
Does anybody manage to really retain the perspective we gain from these events?
