In the last 2 years the Tories have made over £3 billion in arms deals to Saudi Arabia:

I really don't understand how anyone can vote for this gov 😡😢

Have you just found out about this now OP?

Have you got comparative figures for similar deals under the last Labour government?

I'm hoping all this new found concern on MN about links with Saudi is genuine and not just an excuse to attack TM. It just seems odd to me because only a couple of days ago Paul Nuttall was heckled and insulted on the Leaders Debate for trying to talk about Islamist extremism and Saudi funding of mosques. Caroline Lucas in particular laid into him and accused him of suggesting the Manchester attack represented all mosques, when he said no such thing.

YABU, Labour did this too.

I give you UN troops in Rwanda and UN peacekeepers in Yugoslavia.
A plan for post-war peace would have been good, but Corbyn would never have had the war in the first place.
There is nothing wrong with being anti-intervention, but you need to own the consequences, which are that dictators remain in power.

Can I just leave Diane Abbott's latest interview here - terrorism related. DA as Home Secretary??

ExplodedCloud · 05/06/2017 23:26

carol my point was that given how those interventions have turned out, the people living there may have preferred their old lives. Some of them at least. Ordinary lives.

caroldecker · 06/06/2017 00:07

Exploded that is a valid point - so why is Corbyn not saying he prefers Saddam, Assad and Gadaffi in charge?
