Birdsong sucks balls

Planned a nice lie in this morning. Went to a friends for a few drinks last night and at half 6 this morning, a little tweeting twat outside my window decides to start twittering it's twatty little head off. I've been up for ages now, and it's still merrily tweeting away without a care in the world. The little fucker.

Aibu to want to go outside and ring it's scrawny little neck?

Funts Grin

I'm going to start using that.

NoLotteryWinYet · 04/06/2017 08:39

Ooh I didn't know that - off to Amazon to Google bird feeders. Daytime TV for my cats otoh

pastapestoparmesan · 04/06/2017 08:41

The birds outside my window have decided that 3:39 am is tweet time. Fuckers.

FlyingElbows · 04/06/2017 08:43

Every bird in the West of Scotland is using a huge tree bush thing in my garden as a nursery for their fledglings. A bajillion shrieking needy funts right outside my bedroom window.

TwatteryFlowers · 04/06/2017 08:53

I don't mind birdsong usually apart from that one that goes, "cuckooooo cook, cuckoooooo cook," (is it a wood pigeon or a dove?) over and over and over again for hours. That's annoying. We used to have one nesting in our chimney and would come back year after year. I hated spring and summer for that reason alone!

ScabbyHorse · 04/06/2017 08:55

There's a bird outside mine that sounds like it's singing the I'm a Barbie Girl song - wtf

Mumchance · 04/06/2017 08:56

We're in woods and they start before 4 am. Actually, it's the hunting owls trading info that keep me awake -- I love the sound, but it can be deafening ...

Shockers · 04/06/2017 08:58

It's deafening where I live; I love it! Mind you, I get up at 5, so it's part of my gradual alarm.

In my caravan last week though, a bird tried to get in through the roof light at 4:20am. It was screeching like a banshee... can only assume it had dropped its worm, or whatever.

That wasn't a very relaxing awakening.

Springersrock · 04/06/2017 08:59

I don't mind tweeting too much, but I live on the coast so have fecking seagulls screeching away all day.

It was a bit of a novelty when we first moved here, but now I wish they'd fuck right off.

I think a couple of them were having a punch up this morning and made so much racket the dog had to go and sort them out - at 6fucking30am

Shockers · 04/06/2017 09:00

Twattery, I'm sitting in the garden, listening to cookoo cook right now. It's coming from Mr & Mrs woodpigeon... aka the Loveydoveys (they're always at it Blush).

HollyJollyDillydolly · 04/06/2017 09:04

Yep. Happy little fuckers, what've they got to be so happy about?!
They started here about 3/3.30 tweety little arseholes.

Oysterbabe · 04/06/2017 09:06

A blackbird builds it's nest in the tree outside every fucking year then spends 2 months screaming abuse at the cat. Just go somewhere else!!

user1471545174 · 04/06/2017 09:08

I love it - when I have a sleepless night (occasional) only birdsong at dawn sends me to sleep Smile

Ohyesiam · 04/06/2017 09:10

The only time I don't like being woken by bird song is when my stupid cat sits under a tree with a blackbirds nest in it, and the female blackbird does that warning sound for ages. Really annoying.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 04/06/2017 09:15

Collared dove Twattery. Noisy buggers.
Ha, this is nothing! We used to live in Australia. Had visitors over and took them on trip inland. Sunset, charmed to see hundreds of galahs coming in to roost. Not so charmed when they all woke up at 5.00.

Hulababy · 04/06/2017 09:20

About 3:45am I was woken by them this morning. Staying at a friend's and had window open. They are so loud. So shattered now as the darn things haven't shut up since!

CakeNinja · 04/06/2017 09:24

Oh god, I hate it too!!! Persistent, shrill feathery fuckers Angry

TheWitchAndTrevor · 04/06/2017 09:34

We are surrounded by trees, I've become amune to the noise.

Apart from a magpie that sits right outside the window screeching. I have been known to fling the window open and shout PISS OFF! at it.

TheWitchAndTrevor · 04/06/2017 09:35

*Immune

wtffgs · 04/06/2017 09:42

I love birdsong in general but there is a tweety little fecker outside my DDad's house which has a song including a fecking ringtone - feathery little knobshite!! Hmm

daddyorscience · 04/06/2017 09:52

We have a nest in the lift above the kids room, full of chicks all year round... Can be tedious at times, but they're harmless..😂

tinypop4 · 04/06/2017 10:56

I quite like it but I'm an early riser anyway. Somehow my dc sleep through it which is excellent otherwise id kill the little twats

tinypop4 · 04/06/2017 10:57

Disclaimer: I don't actually mean kill. Just be majorly angry if my dc were up at 5 (been there done that!)

Ethylred · 04/06/2017 11:07

It's not a fucking rooster unless you're American.

In which case carry on.
