DS has just pulled something out of the fridge and a glass bottle came down from the top shelf with it Sadand landed on his big toe. It's slightly swollen and I can see a faint bruise coming, it's been about an hour and a half and DS still won't weight bear on it. What should I do? Keep observing? Take him to chemist/GP? Our local Minor injuries has no X-ray so it would have to be A&E?

Keep observing for now...how old is he?

FoxesSitOnBoxes · 02/06/2017 11:04

Definitely not A&E. I imagine it'll be fine if you just wait a bit longer but if you are still worried then minor injuries. (This is a minor injury not an emergency)

I'd wait a few hours before taking to a&e. X

Sorry about the kiss, a text from my mum came in as I was responding and I got confused!

TheClaws · 02/06/2017 11:05

Put some ice/cool packs on in the meantime.

Hotpinkangel19 · 02/06/2017 11:08

No I wouldn't go to A&E, I was just mentioning that our MIU has no x ray. Thank you, I'll just see how he goes, has ice pack on at present, not in too much pain unless anyone touches it or moves it.
