Tots with tattoos - This Morning

MissBax · 01/06/2017 11:50

At 12 they're going to be talking with parents who let their children have tattoos!! Surely they mean sticker tattoos?!
I can't believe IABU to think this is child abuse?!

Haven't seen anything about it, but it may be that new craze for airbrush tattoos.

MissBax · 01/06/2017 12:05

False alarm - they're not permanent!! PHEWWWWW... Talk about baiting an audience!

Personally dont like them they are too much. But we used to buy the stick on one. Or the free ones with bubble gum. I think thats what they were free with... cant remember

"Children get temporary tattoos like they've done for decades" isn't as attention grabbing as "tots with tattoos"

kaytee87 · 01/06/2017 12:17

God kids have been having temporary tattoos for years. This morning are scraping the barrel.

MissBax · 01/06/2017 12:17

Even when I was a child I use to have the ones on the paper you put on with water and if I was good on holiday I was allowed an airbrush one.

They've got to be desperate for news reporting that!

CoolCarrie · 01/06/2017 12:44

It's the airbrushing ones that actors etc have done for film roles. I remember the ones that came with chewing gums as well, you had to put water, or spit, on them and rub it on the paper so it transferred on your skin, I think it was Basooka Joe or some name like that, American gum that had them.

DomJolyNurse · 01/06/2017 12:45

When I was in school (about 12 yrs) there was a rumour that a man was selling tattoos outside the school gate that were actually acid.

Even now when I do minion transfers on my DCs I think, I hope these aren't drugs.

It's (kind of) funny that some irrational worries stick with you!

qazxc · 01/06/2017 12:47

I can understand them not being to everyone 's taste or not being suitable for school, but I can't imagine people being up in arms about temporary tattoos. Imo it's no different than face painting or other temporary tattoos.

PortiaCastis · 01/06/2017 12:50

We used to call them transfers and they were a bugger to scrub off when your Mum saw them
