Food was nearly done, and then I heard it switch off without beeping I went over to it and it started going on and off on and off. I got very nervous, So unplugged it. This is never happened before, so I don't know what happened. so unplugged it. This is never happened before, so I don't know what happened.

THERE IS another microwave but I don't know where it is plugged into. And I'm afraid to touch anything right now. I was about to start heating something up in the microwave.

I never use the second fridge, so I could put some of the things and pots and pans in it so I can move the slow cooker somewhere else. I don't use it as much as our use the oven, and it takes a lot of space on the counter. Can I put something in the fridge to make the smell go away? I also think I just found ice cube trays. I never knew they were here.

Any idea what that is meant to be? It has some sort of liquid inside? I found it in the door in the second fridge.

The second fridge is not plugged in by the way, so I could maybe move some other things in here.

OP, you need to give the inside of the 2nd fridge a good clean to remove the smell - possibly use diluted vinegar? The green think looks like one of those things you put into a freezer to get cold, and then use in a portable cooler box.
no reason you can't use it as some sort of cupboard for storage.

LIZS · 31/05/2017 07:12

Fridges turned off with door closed tend to smell. The green thing is an ice block. If you put in the freezer it will become solid and can be used to keep items cold in a coolbox or insulated bag i.e. shopping or picnics

Elledouble · 31/05/2017 07:16

When we bought a new microwave recently it said you shouldn't put things on top - easier said than done if you're short on space though Sad

I making some progress I think. On top of the oven is still the handmixer, the café thing and the baking paper. I just need to find a home for the blade and the oil. I have quite a bad memory so I don't want to put the blade in a place where I'll forget it's there and get cut. It used to be behind the slow cooker.

Double, I just saw your message. I will try to find a place to put the things that are now on top of the oven. There is no more space in the second fridge.

I keep the chopping blade inside the plastic pot it is used inside.

hellokittymania · 31/05/2017 07:47

Does this look dangerous or so that be OK there? I don't think it's blocking any events on the oven.

Looks fine. Is it working now?

That's your problem right there missus, it's full of passionate intensity.

And electrician is going to come by and check everything, but yes it is working. I don't want anything like yesterday to happen again, so would much rather be safe than sorry. I found the thing that the blade goes to, I never used it so I just put everything on a top self out of the way.

Dear Kitty, what a horrible situation. This doesn't sound like a good set-up
for you at all. Just wanted to let you know I'm sorry you're going through this and I hope you get some practical help very soon.

Sorry! BlushSeriously though, did you get the oven sorted?

hellokittymania · 31/05/2017 14:16

It has done it again! And it is boiling hot! I'm not touching it, I'm too afraid it'll catch fire. I've unplugged everything.

Oh no! Hope the electrician sorts it soon!

Re the fridge being used for storage, bicarbonate of soda will absorb the fridge smell. Put a little tub of it in there with the lid off. Also, use something to stop the door closing all the way, so air can get in. That will help too.
