To keep getting the 5 X £20 discount on family online shopping? One of the mums at school told me about this. If they have email addresses you can basically keep doing the offer, and get it off your weekly shop..

Why do so many people think it'll be the delivery driver that spots it, as if they'll remember hundreds of names from one week to the next? I've never had the same one twice either. I'd imagine it will get flagged up automatically at some point though

Sparklingbrook · 28/05/2017 18:09

I don't think there are hundreds of delivery drivers at each branch. Confused

Aliveinwanderland · 28/05/2017 18:12

Go for it!! Why not?

Me and my DH both have my Waitrose cards and live at the same address as we aometimes shop separately. If they then send you offer codes why wouldn't you use them?!

myusernameisgeneric · 28/05/2017 18:30

If it says one offer per household I believe they would be entitled to take back the money as you are basically fraudulently obtaining the discounts. It may go unnoticed for a while and they may ignore it but I would
Assume it's technically fraud. If all the accounts are at the same address it won't be hard for them to figure it out. It's definitely a risk.

This is one of those things where, of everyone starts doing it, they'll stop the offer altogether as it will no longer be commercially viable and then everyone will lose out/start complaining threads on here.

Jengnr · 28/05/2017 18:45

Tesco did the same thing. Was fucking ages before they cottoned on. The drivers didn't give a shit.

Sparklingbrook · 28/05/2017 18:52

What every single Sainsburys driver? Shock

Weedsnseeds1 · 29/05/2017 10:30

If you know anyone taking an Easyjet flight soon, they have £50 off first £80 shop and free delivery for a year vouchers in the in flight magazine at the moment.

LovelyBath77 · 29/05/2017 10:58

There may well be a possibility of lots of different my Waitrose customers, at the same address. A student house for example.

I've had the £20 for five shops and just use the frequent vouchers I now get. I really couldn't be arsed to use different names and emails etc .

LovelyBath77 · 29/05/2017 11:06

Yes they do send more at times don't they. They seemed to go into overdrive when I got a John Lewis Partnership card around easter and started sending £30 off £120 shop vouchers, and a whole book of £5 off £50 on store, or £10 off online shops. Unfortunately they all had quite short dates on them. But yes it is quite a good offer overall.

weeds is it the May one? I've just looked and it seems to be £20 off £80.

Weedsnseeds1 · 29/05/2017 11:15

Could be £20, yes, essential I was just flicking through it Friday night and not paying full attention!

user1492958275 · 29/05/2017 11:27

The drivers won't care and the drivers most probably aren't looking at your bill / receipts anyway.

I've never used Waitrose but if it's anything like Sainsburys/Tescos the drivers, they just load up the vans and take it out, tell you subs (from the front of the paper) and that is it.

All the payments are done automatically via the shoppers scanners, so it shouldn't actually flag up to anyone.

The only time someone will look at your bill is if your payment bounces, and the guys out the back will go onto the computer to get your address/phone number to give you a ring. But unless your bouncing payments frequently it shouldn't even stick out particularly to them.

I'm sure you will be fine.

britbat23 · 29/05/2017 12:07

It's funny that you're doing shop after shop after shop at Waitrose and somehow you think Waitrose might "catch on" and stop you!

AwaywiththePixies27 · 29/05/2017 12:10

Different email addresses? Surely they'd click on by the 5th time delivering to the 'new customer' at the same address Confused

AwaywiththePixies27 · 29/05/2017 12:12

user no but the computer system will pick up on it that's for sure.

I did my first order a few weeks ago. They tried to take the amount the day before (Sainsbury's takes it on the day) so I got an urgent email saying my delivery had been cancelled. Whoever processes it the night before will click on to the same address five times.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 29/05/2017 12:13

I agree HeyHo

LovelyBath77 · 29/05/2017 13:20

No, they don;t seem to pick up on the same address being used.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 29/05/2017 13:27

My sister did this with Sainsbury's using numerous e mail addresses. After a while, Sainsbury's informed her she was barred from online shopping with them for "abusing the voucher system" .

Ok, well it hasn't with us yet. However I don't want to get banned, so might stick to my own account in future!
