Shifting to Halifax ,need help

Have to shift to Halifax but don't know much about the area . Can anyone suggest the good family areas to live with good schools. How's the Golding Hop Close, Fountain Head Village?
It would be great help,if anyone could suggest areas.

Town centre of Halifax is a bit rundown and sad these days. I would look at some of the smaller villages around there if the commute is do-able. Todmorden, Hebden Bridge etc are nice?
