I seem to prefer female vocalists maybe as another woman I can relate more to what they are saying.
Growing up madonna was my idol I loved her music and ever changing image.

My new absolute fave is Eivør, singer from The Faroe Islands. I much prefer her songs in the original language although she's just released a version of her new album in English. She was on Jools Holland a few weeks ago

My favourite band are all male. And they're huge supporters of women's rights.

Of course. I'm a bit stuck in the last century though, I love Janis Joplin, PJ Harvey, Kirsty MacColl and Carole King. Aretha, Bjork, Dolly and Joni are all pretty fabulous too.
