FIL Is doing my head in!

Since visiting he's angrily told me that adult children should bloody well look after elderly parents (I can bet my bottom dollar he would never expect his son to stop his career to care for him) and is now commenting on the weight of every female on TV Angry.

63! My parents are a lot older but he has very traditional views.

Be open and honest with him. Say "do you really think your son is going to give up his career to be your carer? Did you give up your career to care for your parents?

Just ask him. Be interesting to see what he says
