Have to shift to Halifax but don't know much about the area . Can anyone suggest the good family areas to live with good schools. How's the Golding Hop Close, Fountain Head Village?
It would be great help,if anyone could suggest areas.

Some bits are lovely, some bits are like the ghetto.
Overall it's a nice area though.

Maybe rename the thread or start a new one with Moving to Halifax in the title so you get people clicking on it who actually have something to contribute...

I come from Halifax originally and some parts were lovely, in fact most areas were ,except maybe Mixenden, and i believe that has got worse,
I have relations in Pellon and it is very bad im told with a lot of immigrants and drug taking,
Not picking on immigrants in general in case people think so, but they cause a lot of trouble in that area, the younger ones anyway
My neice had a cat purposely run over there
Savile Park used to be lovely, i lived there then
I also lived in Boothtown, which was ok then, also lived in Illingworth was ok,i will ask my relatives for some info for you,
