To say Hull is bloody brilliant

It is city of culture this year and is putting on such a show.

It gets such a bad press-people need to give Hull a chance!

I went to uni there in the 90's and loved it. Does it still have its own telephone company?

Yes KC, diabolical service!

I remember the Schnapps bar - near Waterfront.

I was also a big fan of Green Monsters at Spiders which were the same as Cocktail Skittles at Schnapps and about a fifth of the price!

I miss the jewellery in Studio Ten and a Half, though.

I love hull.

So many memories

I love Hull in all its faded glory. It is lovely to see it coming up in the world. I am a southern refugee who has lived in a city west of Hull. We discovered a fab caravan site outside near the coast where an owner rents us a luxurious mobile home for £25 a night. Not only do we get use of a pool and gym my DD roam free. Also we can potentially spot the gogglebox people! And then Withernsea for 2p machine fun, big skies and Spurn point walks.

We go at least once a month, best thing is when the weather gets hot and the traffic gets jammed on the A64 no one thinks to head towards Hull.

Land of Green Ginger anyone?
