I grew up in West London then moved to Croydon aged 10. Never really settled there but was tied to it for family reasons until my mid 20s. I hated the place then, everything about it and the whole.feel and mentality of it. With all the regeneration it is supposed to have changed but was back there recently and it still looks and feels a horrible soulless place.
