I don't want this thread to descend into a political battle. I just want to stop hearing the phrase Strong and Stable. It sounds like fucking furniture.

I hate the "strong & stable" I mean it sounds like something a robot would be programmed to say over & over & over again and what does it actually mean?

LookMoreCloselier · 22/05/2017 19:09

YANBU.. stumbling and mumbling.

Leanback · 22/05/2017 19:10

It just sounds like a parody now. Very tone death.

OP posts:
AdelindSchade · 22/05/2017 19:12

Also hate Let me be very clear...

Leanback · 22/05/2017 19:14

adelind and then making a point that isn't very clear at all

Agree she's not running a good campaign although wondering if the dear leader has had Dianne reprogrammed after her gaff.

Still think May will win though as Corbyn promises are growing by the day with the top 5% of earners footing the cloud cooko land bill.

Nicola got her arse kicked too by a nurse. That was fun.

Bring back spitting image please

SaucyJack · 22/05/2017 19:20

Oh YANBU! I wouldn't even mind it half as much if she actually had actually demonstrated over a period of time that she was a strong and stable leader. What the fuck has she ever achieved to deserve the label tho?

I thought at first that she was just a bit wet and bland, but I'm now starting to wonder if she's delusional.

PavlovianLunge · 22/05/2017 19:21

She's coming across as being absolutely clueless about anything other than conniving and manoeuvring herself into power.

Strong and stable. Brexit means Brexit. All absolutely meaningless. But hey, they look good on the front page of the Hate Mail.

Strong and stable? Robotic and repetitive. Oh, and if (when?) she becomes PM, she'll make Thatcher look like fecking Pollyanna.

Dianneabbottsmathsteacher · 22/05/2017 19:24

Agree let me be very clear and it never is. Wink

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 22/05/2017 19:25

Strong and stable makes me think of horses, but I see the furniture link too.

Maybe she thinks she's a picnic bench?

Dianneabbottsmathsteacher · 22/05/2017 19:32

I think she seems to have no idea what 'ordinary' people are thinking and is getting really bad advice. Of course the pensioners would kick off. What was she thinking?

She needs an Alistar Campbell really to take her in hand.

SaucyJack · 22/05/2017 19:33

"Maybe she thinks she's a picnic bench?"

If so Joffrey, then we can all agree she's a sandwich short to put on top of it.

makeourfuture · 22/05/2017 20:00

Agree let me be very clear and it never is

TrollMummy · 22/05/2017 20:21

She is totally out of touch, ordinary working people are over Brexit and EU negotiations. What they care about are domestic issues like education, healthcare, housing and the fact that their wages are not keeping up rising costs. Corbyn has his finger on the pulse and the Tories are massively out of step.

ImperialBlether · 22/05/2017 20:23

She didn't answer one question on whatshisname's programme, but said "Let me be very clear" before she completely fudged the answer.

DonaldStott · 22/05/2017 20:33

Its the same fella who ran camerons campaign.

Run on meaningless slogans.

Unfortunately, they do get stuck in some peoples heads and they become zombies. 'Well if we are told she is strong and stable, then she must be'

Leanback · 22/05/2017 20:35

donald I can see how it could possibly work but I feel it has too easily been picked up on in this case by the public as being baloney. Anytime I heard it mentioned it's either out her mouth or someone taking the piss out of her.

OP posts:
FaFoutis · 22/05/2017 20:38

I'm so pleased about this pensioner thing, what a massive fuck up in all directions. Surely strong and stable goes out of the window now.

forfuckssakenet · 22/05/2017 20:40

*Nicola got her arse kicked by a nurse
*
Hmm

Doublechocolatetiffin · 22/05/2017 20:41

TrollMummy I hope to god that she's not out of touch going on about brexit and EU negotiations! It's the single biggest thing that will have an absolutely massive impact on the state of our economy for years and years to come. Fuck up brexit and you'll have fucked all domestic issues for generations.

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 23/05/2017 14:33

To replace 'Strong and Stable' with 'Weak and Wobbly'
araiwa · 23/05/2017 14:35

"dont know what the fuck we're doing" would be a suitable replacement

anotherpoisonprince · 23/05/2017 14:42

[grin]@Joffrey

LadyPW · 23/05/2017 14:46

I don't want this thread to descend into a political battle
Then why start yet another thread slagging off Theresa May?! Hmm Strange how it's the Labour voters who start these type of threads continually.....

ComingUpTrumps · 23/05/2017 15:24

Dianne she does need an Alastair Campbell type behind her! Grin Funny how no other press secretaries have quite got to his dizzy heights yet Grin Apart from Alastair Campbell, Andy Coulson (for Call me Dave) and James Slack (for Theresa), I'm not sure I even know the names of any other press secretaries?

Also yes 'strong and stable' - good slogan but not when it's repeated ad nauseum, although I get that TM wants to be 'on-message' as much as possible!

I saw a poster the other day saying: 'strong and stable my arse' Grin bit harsh, but pretty much summed up my feelings!
