Bad telly!

I'm at home sick, in my mum's house. Watching a bit of telly. Can't believe how bad it is...
We don't have a TV, tbh I've never been a telly watcher. My last favourite show was SATC.
I do like a bit of bubblegum for the brain, gossip mags, online forums, trashy novels & so on...
But I can't believe how bad the telly is. This Morning, Loose Women. Everything else! And the ads...
I enjoyed Alison Hammond, but she's the only bit of personality I've seen so far. It's all so vapid.
Has TV got worse, or has it always been this shite? DH does Netflix on the computer, for his shows.

Daytime telly is appalling.

Okay LW and This Morning were never exactly highbrow back in the day, but the presenters had journalistic backgrounds and some decent topics were covered.

Nowadays it's all about Celebrity BB and Facebook. Richard and Judy would be spinning in their graves, were they dead.

Although Pebble Mill ended in the 80s pp, they did continue with the "Song For Christmas" up until the mid 90s.

I got a fun trip to Birmingham out of that in Year 4 Grin

Richard and Judy would be spinning in their graves, were they dead.

Slightly off topic, but has anyone actually seen Judy recently? His Lordship was on Countdown the other week, but haven't seen her for years! I loved watching them together, him constantly foot-in-mouthing, her looking like she'd have a divorce if it wasn't for the telly money....

@EdmundCleverClogs I keep seeing him on Talking Heads programmes with their daughter but no Judy.

I think we all saw a "bit too much" of Judy
at that awards show though BlushGrin

Best daytime TV has to be On Sky and all those random "You Gotta Eat Here" and "World's Best Restaurants". Quality viewing 👌🏼

It's been bothering me all day. What was SATC?

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 22/05/2017 20:36

Sex and the City I think

I love watching Tales of the Unexpected on Sky Arts. I love the 70s/80s British vibe of them. Although they became a bit American in the last few series!!
