3 to dd puked up once about an hour ago, didn't want to come in my bed for the rest of the night.
Wibu to stop lying on her cold floor under a towel and go back to bed? I don't want her to be sick in her sleep and choke.
She's in her bed and asleep now.
They're never just sick once, are they? Are they???
There was a LOT of sick.

Can you bring her into your bed now that she is asleep.
You need to sleep too.

steff13 · 21/05/2017 01:46

I usually take daughter to sleep on the couch when she's sick, and I sleep on the couch with her. Then I'm close by, but comfortable.

CumberBatchCooking · 21/05/2017 02:00

Good ideas but I think she'll wake up and be angry and upset if I move her.
Just woke and said more sick is coming...then went back to sleep. I fear the night is far from over. Sigh!

Just pick her up...don't ask her if she wants to go in your bed.

Pad your bed up with old towels and lie with her there.

She's ill...she won't complain for long if you move her. Poor thing and poor you.x

Don't you have anything else to sleep on? A couple of spare duvets or a sleeping bag and a blanket? Why are you under a towel? You must be freezing.

I think you do need to be near enough to hear her be sick. You are right, it's rarely just once.

CumberBatchCooking · 21/05/2017 03:02

All the duvets are in the baby's room, who will also wake up if I get them! Have had a nice couple of hours to reflect on this poor domestic arrangement. Smile

I'm going back to bed. She's sleeping very peacefully now. I had a bug on Friday and I was sick only once, so I'm hoping it's the same thing.

I have ears like a bat and the sleep deprived hair trigger arousal of someone with many small babies. I think I'd hear her if she woke again.

I was really sick last week (I think 6 bleurghs at 4am) and nothing since. I think I'd move her somewhere you're within reach.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 21/05/2017 03:05

I feel you on the poor domestic arrangements. We bought DS a new bed and it took a sickness bug to remind me that one fitted sheet was really not enough.

Plunkette · 21/05/2017 04:21

Buy a cheap sleeping bag and camping mat for future* (that's what I have). Quick to retrieve and put away. Silent to set up.

*if you have a Decathlon near you they are very reasonable.

Testing both my DC had Norovirus at the same time.

The following week we doubled the amount of children's bedding we owned and bought a new tumble drier. We also bought an additional sick bowl.

I don't think you need to keep a vigil.just go back to bed I think she will wake up before she vomits
