Children Cycling On Pavement

Walking along the pavement earlier today with my daughter, on a very very quiet street with a thinner than average pavement. Theres a little boy on a bike coming along and he nearly hits my daughter as we round a 90 degree blind corner (sounds a bit dramatic for a pavement I know)

Well anyway the mother comes steaming up to my daughter and says 'he's F O U R' Obviously a bit confused I ask her if everything is alright to which I got something along the lines of 'your daughter nearly knocked my son of his bike'

I told her that the pavement was shared space and from what I had seen the boy was going very fast around a corner, unsurprisingly she was not pleased by this and begun to shout at which point I walked off, fast.

WIBU to confront her?

Was the boy a zombie?

Ah yes - the zombie thread reviver.

To answer your question seriously, the mother should have been supervising her child better - he should have stopped and waited for her at the corner, instead of coming round it. A four year old is not old enough to be cycling anywhere out of his parent's sight.

The boy was the classic kind of child from round here, loud, entitled and silent when mummy started to roar...

Surely there was a zombie thread that was very similar, that you could have bumped instead.
