disabled toilets

in light of a recent thread about use of disabled toilets, I have a question! I don't usually use disabled toilets as I'm not disabled, but I'm currently almost 30 weeks pregnant and in the beginning when I had terrible morning sickness I sometimes used them particularly in college when the disabled toilet was the closest one to where I was located, sometimes it was either that or vomit on the floor! I don't use them now as sickness has long passed, but was I being unreasonable in the beginning? I'd rather get to the closest toilet and use it than puke on the floor and leave a mess to be cleaned up!

Perfectly reasonable and anyone that objected would be very mean. Nobody wants vomit stained carpets or pools of sick so why object?

I think if you're about to vomit you use whatever appropriate place is nearest to be honest!

furryelephant I agree, reminds me of the time the nausea came over me in the car and in a panic the only suitable option to me seemed to be down the inside of my top 😂 despite all the carrier bags inside the car with me for my shopping! round of applause to me 👏

So long as no one with a disability is waiting there is no problem with using an accessible toilet. No idea why people get up in arms over this. What qualifies as a disability? receipt of PIP? DLA? ESA? A blue badge? There is no legislation other than saying there must be accessible toilets, to give them their correct name. No one decides, other than you, whether your prolapse is or isn't a disabling feature; or whether you need more room because you have your leg in a cast.

I'd judge someone no more for vomiting in a disabled toilet than in a bin/sink/drank/down their own top it's never something you can hold in! As long as it doesn't end up on me they can carry on!
