There is a case for thinking about the language, for sure, but following on from the erasure of Radical Islamic Terror from his vocabulary after he made such a song and dance about it before this trip suggests that he doesn't give it much thought to words beyond how they best serve his own interest (votes; deals to be done; stirring religious hatred; lies that work best).

I think I can remember reading somewhere that as well as associating terror with Islam (rather than Islamists), the phrase Radical Islamic Terror delivers to the Jihadists the recognition they crave. 'Loser' is an antidote to that in some resepcts but coming from a President in this context ....

I personally dislike the use of the term losers as to me it came across as very school ground and demeaned everyone involved. I do agree with talking about these people as disturbed individuals rather than associating it with a greater campaign. I am not sure if Trump's call to obliterate this 'wicked ideology' was hugely helpful either. However, yes it could have been worse as trump speeches go.
