Account in minus.

I've logged in to see my account is in -£130 due to council tax going out yesterday. It went into minus today for a few hours and I have used savings to bring it back into a plus amount.

Will I be fined for this? Will it affect my credit score? I knew I was due to transfer in some savings as DH work have delayed paying him until this month (return from PL) however I missed getting savings in by a few hours so it was minus for a few hours.

No arranged overdraft. As DH was on unpaid PL we have used savings to cover and I didn't transfer in yesterday like I had planned.

He is back in work now and will be getting a full wage so I hope this never happens again. Will be keeping in a buffer amount in future.

Your credit score will be fine. This has happened to me before and I have just sorted it on the same day. My credit score has not been affected.

I have set up an overdraft on my account. I have no plans to use it but it's there because going into an authorised overdraft accidentally is so much better than going into an unauthorised one. On nationwide you can apply for this online - you could do that.
