WIBU to contact company to find out if I got the job?!

Had an interview 2 weeks and 2 days ago. They said they were interviewing quite a few more people in the following week or two and I'd hear in a fortnight.
Is tomorrow too early to email and enquire the outcome? Should I wait to see first if I hear anything before Monday and then get in touch? Or is it an absolute no to chase them and I should just be patient?
It feels like it's been sooooooooo long already!

My Dh interviews people for his company. He says that when someone emails to enquire about the outcome of their interview, he sees it as a positive thing that demonstrates how keen they are.

When I've had job interviews, he's always told me to email within the first week for this reason.

So based on that, I'd say go for it! (what harm can it do?)
