Ok please tell me if I'm being unreasonable to find this irritating or if I'm expecting too much from the nursery (I realise this is a minor issue in the scheme of things!!)

DD(3) will go into nursery wearing a Tshirt and cardy or jumper so she has a layer to remove if she gets hot running around. Without fail, every day she is at nursery, said cardy is scrunched into a tight ball by the nursery staff and shoved in her bag. I've seen them do it before my very eyes...

It has often only been worn for a hour or two but cannot be worn again without ironing as it comes out looking like a rag (I'm not being precious about this; I don't iron most things if they dry reasonably smooth from the wash. My standards are not that high)

AIBU to find this really annoying?! More often than not they get chucked into the laundry bin despite not being dirty

More importantly OP, do you NAME all your child's clothing?

Nothing more annoying for teaching staff to have a cardi/jumper/knickers without a name in it.

As you were.

But surely it would take exactly the same amount of time to fold it over once or even twice and put it in the bag, as it would to grab it and scrunch it and shove it in? Or maybe it would literally take 2 seconds longer?

I see where you're coming from Annie592, but that cardigan is probably 'shoved in the bag' in the midst of doing something else - not a dedicate time to put it in there. I've often 'shoved' a jumper or cardigan in a drawer or bag as I'm on my way to work with children, or help someone who needs it. I can't think when I'd have time to fold - even quickly - clothing and put it in bags.

Op said she's seen them screw it into a tight ball. That's gotta take longer than shoving it in

People actually have time to iron nursery clothes!? Feel free to pop over to mine if you get a spare 5 minutes, my twins are always a bit creased Blush
