Posting here for traffic, sorry Grin
We have a little frog visitor in our garden. Do you think I should move him? There's quite a few cats around and we don't have any pond. It'll get quite warm when the sun moves round onto him. Or will he go off on his own?

If he got there on his own, he will leave on his own. It's probably a toad if there is no water source.

Gooseygoosey12345 · 14/05/2017 10:50

I shall leave him be then. He's off up the garden now and I've put the dogs away (although they were scared of him anyway Hmm) we're near a lake but I wouldn't have thought he'd have travelled from there so he may well be a toad. Thanks for the quick reply :)

That's a toad and is a good sign of a healthy garden.

thetroutofnocraic · 14/05/2017 11:37

What a lovely wee fella! He'll hop off when he's ready, but lovely of you to be concerned for him.

RedBugMug · 14/05/2017 11:38

as long as you have a shrubby are that offers damp and hiding places it will be fine.
it will eat a lot of slugs!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 14/05/2017 11:40

He's very handsome

caz323 · 14/05/2017 11:41

Oh, he's lovely! Can't remember the last time I saw one. Thanks for that, OP!

AwaywiththePixies27 · 14/05/2017 11:42

Leave him be OP he'll be okay.

Your post about your dog being scared of him made me chuckle. My Mum had a dog that was scared of spiders. Fat lot of use he was. Grin

"Ooh, I love frogs and toads!"

Me too. I like to put one hand out a couple of body lengths away from one, then gently touch their back with my other hand. If I'm lucky it will hop onto my palm. Smile

stonecircle · 14/05/2017 11:47

Definitely a toad not a frog'

caz323 · 14/05/2017 12:22

and I'll put money on that you love hedgehogs too. Sooo cute! Smile

Gooseygoosey12345 · 14/05/2017 12:22

He's lovely isn't he :) we live near a nice big park so he has somewhere to head to. Thanks for all the advice! He seems to have vacated the garden so guessing he's hopped off home.
