If you put a nine month (guess?) on the dance floor she's going to get stamped on.

I'm on holiday at a caravan site where they have the usual kids/adults entertainment in the late evening. All the kids are knackered. My dd (3) is hyper and dancing knocked into a non walking baby on the packed dance floor. I said sorry to the mum and kind of laughed it off but I feel like she wants to make a big deal of it and I've gone to the club house toilet feeling a bit shaken. I'm not BU to think she should have seen it coming no?

FWIW this isn't about kids being up late at a disco because I've kept dd up to enjoy it and loads of kids are. But a baby?!?!

EtonMessi · 13/05/2017 21:28

ineedamoreadultieradult · 13/05/2017 21:30

Yanbu ive been trampeled by kids at this sort of clubhouse disco thing and im 33!

RedStripeIassie · 13/05/2017 21:36

Phew!! I felt a bit Confused but it's ok. I used to let dd knock about on the dance floor on these hols but I'd only blame myself if she got trampled!

It's the child version of a mosh pit. No babies should be there.

RedStripeIassie · 13/05/2017 21:45

Yeah!!! You're so right. Get some system of a down on there and she'd be right at home Wink

Yanbu

A non walking baby doesn't belong on a dance floor!

Foxsox · 13/05/2017 21:47

The other mother is an idiot who puts a 9month old on the dance floor!

user1andonly · 13/05/2017 21:50

Yanbu.

If the baby is her pfb, she'll learn, in time!

If she has older children herself, then she should definitely have known better than to expect little hyper dancing children to be able to able to avoid stepping on her!

sailorcherries · 13/05/2017 21:56

So the parent plonked the baby on the floor and expected other small, hyper, children to manoeuvre around them?

Yanbu in the slightest.

Floggingmolly · 13/05/2017 21:56

Why should a gang of three year olds have to dance around a crawling baby? The mother is a complete fool.

toffeeboffin · 13/05/2017 21:57

toffeeboffin · 13/05/2017 21:57
