This isn't pronunciation, but a friend and I have promised never to re-ignite the "I'm going to go verb", I'm going to go and verb" and "I'm going to go to verb" conversation. We could not see each other's point of view at all on it 
Also, I'm going to differ from an English pronunciation on this thread - to me counties ending in "shire" aren't "sheer". They're closer to "sha" or "shu" in my (admittedly non-rhotic) accent. I was baffled by all the male Carols when I came to Scotland - or Carls as I realised when I saw it written!
