To take my bath when I move?

I love my bath, and the new place I'm moving to I'll be decorating the bathroom and will want the exact same bath.

Aibu to take it with me?

No. But could take it out now, store it and put a new one in before listing the house.

mumeeee · 12/05/2017 18:05

You can't take your bath

Bluntness100 · 12/05/2017 18:16

Have you sold your house? If so you can't remove fixtures and fittings.

rednsparkley · 12/05/2017 18:34

I would take it out now and just whack a bog standard B+Q job in instead. Put it in storage and then have it fitted in the new house. Buyers might rip out the whole batheoom anyway.

hooliodancer · 12/05/2017 18:45

I am taking my sink when I move, but I took it out and replaced it with something that looks very similar.

I pointed out to the buyer that I had done this though, as the estate agents photos show the original sink.

Ethylred · 12/05/2017 18:46

Why do people ask for technical advice from random strangers on the internet? Ask your estate agent or lawyer. Obviously.

Strikhedonia · 12/05/2017 19:31

If you need legal advice, ask your solicitor. Not the estate agents!

Ethylred stupid reply if you don't understand or approve of the basic purpose of Mumsnet : discuss and share opinions, stop using the forum Biscuit

Casschops · 13/05/2017 08:15

No that would be awful unless previously agreed.

Scottishchick39 · 13/05/2017 08:31

Do you have somewhere to store the bath now? If so, remove and replace before you put it on the market. No problem then.

Almostthere15 · 13/05/2017 08:51

Honestly it would make me think you were going to be a bit of a nightmare and take all the light bulbs and so on. It'd make me think twice about buying because the relationship can be fraught enough!

If you really love it (and I need a pic!)then take it out now and store it

Reminds me of this m.youtube.com/watch?v=eHANLC9JtWI

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 13/05/2017 10:01

Of course you can take it as long as you replace it and make good any mess and damage you make in the process.

Fluffyyellowone · 13/05/2017 11:31

Just be very clear about on fixtures and fixtures that you are taking it. Cant see that its any differant to other fixtures tbh.
