Royal Ascot fashion advice

Posting here for traffic. A lovely, glamorous friend has invited me to Ascot for Ladies Day. Please can anyone advise on where I can buy a fab midi-style dress, (to hide trog-like legs), maybe a bit chiffon-floaty-esque, that doesn't cost a fortune? Have always wanted to go to this but stressing that I won't be able to find anything suitable. Have decided to go for a fascinator as hats make me look like a mushroom! Grin

Check which stand you are in before you buy/rent a hat as there are restrictions.

Chichi London have some fab dresses for things like this. Someone on here recommended to me a couple of years ago when I went to Irish national. Which was also ladies day. Got a chiffon type dress from there and loved it. I sized up as I was tight for time when ordering and it was lovely and comfortable.

Which enclosure are you in?

In Queen Anne enclosure

We have been going for years and I still study this religiously. Basically - you cannot be too dressed up. Ever.

Thank you. I really love the Madelaine dress from the Chichi website in colour berry - the skirt is tulle - would this be ok? X
