Disco Duck

Inspired by the childhood toys thread, DH and I have been chatting about our favourite toys from years ago.

DH had Disco Duck.

Disco Duck was a cassette player with a mic attached (like the old Fisher Price Ones) but in the shape of a cartoon ducks head what the actual fuck ....

Now, I love an old nostalgia trip and was very intrigued so excitedly jumped in Ye Olde Google for a look, typed in every search word and key word I could think of yet nothing comes up AT ALL.

So... AIBU to suggest have already suggested to DH that this is something that he hallucinated thought up in his little head many moons ago and doesn't actually fucking exist in any space/time continuum and Disco Duck is a total figment of his imagination OR is there someone out there who knows what the hell he is talking about?! And can provide photographic evidence.

Help us MN you're our only hope! I am prepared to be told IAU by the way!

There was a TV show, something like "Dooby Duck's Disco Duck Truck". Was it a spin off from that?

Ah, apparently it was Dooby Duck's Disco Bus. I think my version was better!! I would have been 10 when that was on, it's a pretty vague memory

Perhaps he has false memory syndrome and has concocted a hybrid of Doobie Duck's Disco Bus from 1980s kids' tv and the 1970s novelty record 'Disco Duck'. Then ascribed those characteristics to a blameless toy duck.

By the way, despite the promising title, Doobie Duck's Disco Bus was rubbish. It was like The Minipops with puppets (and minus the questionable bits).

OhHolyFuck Nope tried that too... I swear he dreamt such a monstrosity toy Up but no parents have apparently confirmed it.

There must have been a gas leak or something, they all went on the same weird trip and hallucinated a duck shaped cassette player.

Mini He says like a Mr Mike but it had orange duck feet then the "mouth" was orange and beak shaped and it had a green outline for eyes where the cassette went in.
