The size of the Ninky Nonk

So I get that IN The Night Garden is just the delusional dreams of Iggle Pigglr whilst he dies of exposure and dehydration on his boat

BUT

one minute it's small enough to run up branches then its big enough for Iggle to get into the smallest bit at the back. When Iggle and Upsey are in the woods the trees look normal size so it can't be that its a huge train and the trees are even larger.

It plays with me head

The toddler doesn't care

Both of my children love it, my 9 years old still watch it now, its our highlight of the day, my 3 yrs old recently learnt to brush her teeth by herself when she saw the Tomliboos were doing it. We loads of ITNG toys and we watch the show once a year live near where we live.

Vanillaradio · 12/05/2017 17:57

We haven't watched The Night Garden too much due to the Tombliboo teeth incident.
The Tombliboos brushed their teeth. Unfortunately they have tiny mouths and a huge toothbrush so appeared to be brushing their nose. Which ds clocked. Unfortunately the whole episode was about them brushing their teeth with many demonstrations by the end of which my (then) not quite 2 year old was purple with rage and screaming "Noooooo. They no brush teeth. They brush nose!"
Didn't dare watch it for about a year after that!

I don't know, I think the Ninky Nonk expands and gets smaller at times.

No, they are definitely three stripey perverts who take off their pants and dance naked*
They're the semi abandoned love chikdreb of Upset Daisy and some bloke from the strip club. Of course they're a bit odd. How dare you judge them! Sad

The OP is fucking hilarious.

I hate those little pontipines, want to burn their house down the cheeky cunts.

I like the wattingers though- they seem more well behaved.

InDubiousBattle · 12/05/2017 18:43

Once, when ds was about 11 months old I was laid up with morning sickness and let him watch about 5 episodes of ITNG in a row. I literally had to leave the room and scream into a fucking pillow it was that irritating.

I want to see the episode of Bing that starts 'round the corner, not far away Flop really loses his shit today...' then you just hear Flop shouting "I said to leave the sodding butterfly alone!," before going onto his steps outside to drink gin neat from the bottle. No one in the neighbourhood would judge him. They've all met Bing.

DH is freaked by the Wotties

I love ITNG.

Except for OPs size issue as stated.

And the Pontypines and Wottingers are so boring.

Worryingly, I watch this alone ..........

Izzy24 · 12/05/2017 18:46

But not very often .

RoseGoldProsecco · 12/05/2017 18:47

Hmmmmm, someone is very defensive of the tomliboos. Is there something you're not telling us?! Grin

MommaGee · 12/05/2017 18:49

I love them! I feel sorry for them - they'll never know their Daddy and Upsey just wants to pull Iggle, not be a good mom.

And DS does the dance with standing up and sitting down which is the first time hes done what the telly told him and its adorable haha

MommaGee that is scarily close to my own headcannon for Bing, whatever is going there it is definitely post-apocolyptic.

BalloonDinosaur · 12/05/2017 22:48

BEST thread.

I watched a lot of ITNG when my nephews were younger.

We were in Toys R Us once and younger nephew found life size IP dolls which made hugging movements. Cue him flinging himself on his knees and hugging every single one on the display (approx 20) one by one.

Oldest will be 13 next week Shock

The Haa Hoos are bloody terrifying.

MommaGee · 14/05/2017 20:53

Ooh that's so cute!!
