This happened a few years ago to few workmates before I started and I just learned about it. The offending person has since retired.

Before Christmas the wife of the offending man made chocolate candy in the shape of a penis and wrapped them in cellophane as 'gifts' for all the women. The older women thought it was a lark, etc. but the younger women thought the wife had a screw loose but didn't say anything. Talking to one of my work mates she said she really did think they came from the wife, as she was 'different' (artistic? Eccentric? What?) and made many sexual innuendos during normal conversation.
Nothing was said and it was swept under the carpet.

I thought this so unlikely that the husband would be part of this since he came across as a high and mighty 'religious' sort. I was horrified when I found this out.

Fast forward to me talking about this to a male friend of mine, who also found it a lark and said his mother (in her 80's) was also like this and he just brushed it off as a gag.

WTf?! I surely cannot be the only one that finds this weird, offensive and sexual harrasment! I was sure of it until I talked to my male friend that said that about his mother and made it seem no big deal. I'm in the US (though this surely wouldn't matter would it? Am I BU or

Sorry pressed button too soon, am I BU (I don't think I am personally) or just a prude?!

I would have thought it was odd, but I would not have felt as though I had been sexually harassed. I am in the US, too, btw.

GahBuggerit · 10/05/2017 19:27

No, it's not sexual harassment.

WellErrr · 10/05/2017 19:28

It's weird, but no, not sexual harassment.

SumThucker · 10/05/2017 19:30

Definitely weird, I also wouldn't say sexual harassment.

TowerRavenSeven · 10/05/2017 19:40

Really?? I am surprised to say the least.

Depends on the context. From what you describe it just sounds a bit eccentric in which case I'd find it amusing.

PeaFaceMcgee · 10/05/2017 19:49

Ha! Funny and weird. Would make me smile.

TowerRavenSeven · 10/05/2017 19:53

I suppose because it was in the workplace and made some women feel uncomfortable is why I see it that way. If my dh came home with a chocolate vagina wrapped in cellophane handed to him by a woman co worker and said they were from her husband would that make any difference eccentric or not?

No difference to my opinion. Still wouldn't class it as sexual harassment. Misjudged gag perhaps.

Allthebestnamesareused · 10/05/2017 20:01

I must have missed the bit where the man was "sexually harassing someone"?

The post is about a man's wife making chocolate willies. Surely if that is the offensive act then she is being offensive (if you want to treat it as that) not the "offending man"?

TowerRavenSeven · 10/05/2017 20:01

Ok I accept I'm just prudish then!!
