AIBU to buy a flat bed sewing machine for dressmaking??

I love the look of the Janome 6600P machine and it meets all my requirements as semi industrial but I have just realized it is only flat bed. I have only ever sewn using machines that have a removable bed to give an arm to sew cuffs/hems etc. Do other people manage with flat bed style, presumably everyone managed years ago as all machines were all flat. Would I be able to adjust my sewing accordingly as I dont want to make an expensive mistake?

I grew up with a "flat-bed" and now have a "free-arm". I managed as a teenager to use the flat-bed but the free-arm is easier for things like cuffs.

I don't suppose you have space to keep a free-arm (Assuming you already have one) as well as the new Janone?

I could keep my old machine but would not be keen to use it at all as slightly damaged so doesn't sew well, probably better to buy a cheap little new model if I was going to have 2 but I really hoped for £1k to find one dream machine that met all my requirements.

Surely I should be able to find something great for that budget?
