AIBU to think that a person you consider a friend should at least say "hello" when they enter the same room you are already in.

I met a lady through an activity that both our children do. We met up several times with kids and a couple without. To me this is a friendship, so I would call her a friend. We haven't seen much of each other recently because her child moved up to the next level months before mine. I attempted to meet up several times, but she would either cancel at the last minute or changed it so many times that it wouldn't be convenient for me. On other occasions I have sent texts just to say hi and to see how she is doing, but never got a response. This is not an issue for me. I understand that life is complicated and is always hard to make time to socialize, particularly when you have children. However, I felt deeply hurt when she walked into the viewing room of the activity that our children go to, walked past me without saying hello and sat across from me. I don't think I have done anything to offend her, I haven't seen her in months. AIBU to expect her to say hello?

It is rubbish when people do this, I don't know what her reason is, but she is making it clear she does not want to bother with you any more. I would just ignore her too, she is really not worth the effort.

That's awful. If she's upset about something she should act like a grown-up and speak to you.
