To ask for a sleepyhead alternative

We have a sleepyhead grand suitable from 6 months. But for now our newborn needs to be more easily accessible for me during the night as due to my csection healing i can't get up and then pick her up and then comfort her/feed etc without her going absolutely atomic as I'm taking too long. For now my husband can take her but when he goes back to work he'll likely go to the sofa so he can get some sleep for work and i really want him to do this, i dont want him to struggle at work etc when I'm happy to do the night feeds etc. So I'd like a clear bed with the sleephead on top so DD is in easy reach during the night but as it'll only be for a while is there a cheaper alternative/other ideas that mumsnet can give me? Thanks

I've seen the babymoov cosidream on amazon as a no1 bestseller and I am tempted. I don't have any experience with them though but they're a lot more reasonably priced.

Hoping someone will come along and tell me whether or not to buy it!

We're trying out the babymoov cosidream with a next to me crib. Has very good reviews when used properly!

We used a poddlepod with no.1 and it was so good (and cheap second hand, we just bought a new cover!) We're using it again when no.2 arrives imminently Grin
It's so handy, during the day baby napped in it on the sofa next to me, she loved it (hated moses basket). She was even happy to lie in her pod on the dining room table while we ate dinner!

You just need to be cautious about whether what you choose claims to be suitable for sleeping in overnight. We had the purflo nest which is cheaper than the sleepyhead but didn't last as long. She was out of it by 3 months but then I did get a baby that likes a lot of sleeping space whereas I get the impression most babies like a more cosy sleeping space.

We have the babymoov cosydream for my dad 8 weeks and it's been fantastic. In fact we have 2 cos she can be a bit sicky and we don't want to go without!

You could get the smaller sleepyhead secondhand? They are completely washable so ok secondhand. I think the local Facebook groups are usually quite good for picking up that kind of thing.
