I am in total shock!

I sent my passport application on Thursday last week via the Post Office Check and Send- and the postman just delivered my brand new passport today! Only 6 days later!

Would IBU to ask if this was super quick?

Mine were that quick last year

Pinkheart5915 · 26/04/2017 16:36

thanksamillion · 26/04/2017 16:38

I sent mine last week and had a text today saying it's on its way.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 26/04/2017 16:38

A week for me too...

CatherineMaitland · 26/04/2017 16:39

I got mine in two days last year. Did do Check and Send but didn't pay for priority service.

SunFinished · 26/04/2017 16:39

We sent recently for DD 1st passport and got it back exactly 1 week later

patronsaintofglocks · 26/04/2017 16:41

That's brilliant. I think maybe it's quicker when it's not summer holiday times maybe? I just feel lucky! It's put me in such a good mood lol!

I think the girls last pair of passports were probably only in Newport Passport office for about an hour, they arrived just four working days after I sent them off Check and Send. That was in January.

RedSandYellowSand · 26/04/2017 16:41

Ours took exactly a week to.
And we are in the Middle East, so they had to get to the UK first!
We were amazed.

ILookedintheWater · 26/04/2017 16:47

check and send saves ages imo. Worth every penny.

mumeeee · 26/04/2017 16:50

Stylemepretty · 26/04/2017 16:55

Got the the text to say it had been received on the Thursday and it arrived on Saturday.

Unihorn · 26/04/2017 16:56

Got baby's first passport in a week without using check and send about a month ago :)

Sleepdeprivedredhead · 26/04/2017 16:56

My son's first passport was 5 days (normal service). That was last year.

wifeyhun · 26/04/2017 16:58

6 days in Feb this year.

BitOutOfPractice · 26/04/2017 16:59

48 hours! I applied at the passport office on the Wednesday. Not possible to do express same-day service because it was for a child. It arrived on the Friday.

I wanted to kiss the whole of the passport service. We were flying on the Sunday and I'd only realised my DD1's passport had expired when I went to enter her details at check in Shock

fc301 · 26/04/2017 18:46

Mon- Thurs. post there & back!

RaspberryOverloadsOnChilli · 26/04/2017 18:47

5 days and 6 days, both for children and I didn't use check and send. However, I did apply for them around February each time, don't know if that makes a difference.

Seren85 · 26/04/2017 18:52

5 days for me and 3 for DH on separate occasions. We did both use check and send though.
