I am in the IoW (and have been since 1 April). It hasn't rained once in that month, not even briefly. The garden is suffering (and other places). If this carries on, there'll be a hosepipe ban.

BTW. Today has been blue skies and sunshine in south Cheshire, with the threat of a shower around noon.

I want the April showers back!

Ugh. Well that was pointless. We had a few spots of rain on the window and now it is back to blue skies and sunshine.

It was torrential in our caravan in thirsk last night!

The week ( of hell) we had on our visit to the iow was just awful.
It literally did not stop raining.

Spotting again (but we have blue skies, weird). I can see giant rain clouds across the Solent but have no idea whether they'll make it here from Dorset.

I'm in South Somerset, and we too are desperate for a drop of rain!

We have had nothing here for about six weeks now, bar five minutes of snow and hail yesterday, and my allotment has cracks the size of Cheddar Gorge🤔

Newport here (s wales, not iow!). Had a few drops on and off, but garden is crying out for some proper rain. Two drops forecast for this afternoon, so crossing my fingers...

Really dry here, although the forecast is for rain overnight. I'm delighted with the forecast, and will probably get up in the middle of the night to check it's raining properly on my garden

Apologies to everyone with outdoor events today or tomorrow (this includes us) but we really do need some rain. I think the Met office are going to be saying this has been the driest April on record here.

We just had about four drops. If that was it, I might resort to a rain dance. Look at my poor grass :(

N Bucks - we had a few April showers during the week and the grass is green, but have had to water plants in the meantime and the ground is rock hard underfoot, dusty where the rain didn't reach.
