Hi xxx quite new to mumsnet. Sorry if I've put this in the wrong place.

Does anyone else feel like this?

Yes. You're not alone.

user1492526833 · 24/04/2017 20:49

What's the story line?

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 24/04/2017 20:50

As a dm with dd x3 its stomach churning to watch tbh.

Sirzy · 24/04/2017 20:51

It's not designed to be fun watching though is it. It's designed to tackle a horrible, but very real, issue.

patronsaintofglocks · 24/04/2017 20:59

It's a story line about sexual grooming, starting with one main perpitrator and growing to group abuse- I think.

I feel sick as similar happened to me as a teen at 16, but with a family member.

It is quite grim to watch, and Nathan (the groomer) is making me cringe.

This does happen though, sadly.

I hate the subject (I was abused as a child) but I'm glad they are raising awareness of it.

Storylines like this do increase the amount for f people coming forward/reporting what's happened to them/telling someone what's happening to them/accessing help etc so while it's hard to watch I'm very glad mainstream, 'family' programs show these types of storylines.
