To be irritated that Barclays premier address letters re our joint account to DH only

Especially when it is my salary that entitles us to the account in the first place (DH's salary is paid into another account to enable us to get our mortgage deal...but anyway, I digress...)

I just find it really insulting that I'm not personally addressed in correspondence relating to our JOINT account. AIBU to find this infuriating?!

I couldn't get annoyed about this. The correspondence for our account is addressed to me only, I guess because I was already a Barclays customer when we opened the account and DH wasn't. DH just says it's one less envelope he has to deal with.

Was it originally a joint account, or was it a sole account that was converted?

Barclays are a shit bank anyway. I have to deal with them almost on a daily basis and the things I've seen them do to their customers

It is strange, our bank send us 2 copies of everything except the statement. 1 to DH and 1 to me. Statement has both names on.

I agree OP. Write to the bank and tell them you want correspondence addressed to both of you.

Yeah, we got duplicate copies of everything until I opted into paperless banking. Maybe you've done this inadvertently OP. My bank pretty much did it without asking me when I logged in to online banking once (I mean, not actually without asking, but it would have been very easy to miss as it was essentially a screen that said 'if you continue you'll opt in to paperless banking').

We have a joint account with Barclays premier and it was exactly the same thing but the other way round. My name on all the letters although I'm a SAHM and DH is the earner. It made me laugh until we wanted to get a car on PCP and had no Proof of address for Dh!
I called the premier banking manager at our branch who looks after us, explained and he remedied it v quickly. We could then print out a statement from their new fangled ATM and get the car of Dh's dreams 🙄
