To not wear my wedding ring?

We've been married 3 years and I wore my ring for about a year before ripping the fucker off and never put it back on. I hate wearing jewellery, I don't wear anything and never have done. I find it extremely irritating and it stresses me out

Dh has started to get really fed up with it recently and I'm not sure how we move forward from it. He feels it's a bit disrespectful and I should be wanting to show the fact I'm married. I feel that as long as I act married and then that's fine. I would be completely ok with it if he decided to stop wearing a ring btw.

So aibu not to wear it even though it irritates him?

I'm widowed 5 years and still wear my ring. But it's a personal preference. Not all men have rings so not sure why your husband is annoyed.

Don't wear any rings since I don't like them and DH had a bad injury playing sport wearing his so doesn't wear it either. Not sure why we got them! If it means a lot to either of you - ring on chain round neck?

I rarely wear my wedding and engagement rings, I find rings really annoying to wear, I always have. My husband doesn't have one.

(a) get a 22 carat gold band -as nobody is allergic to that grade gold
(b) make a nice display stand for the ring to show you still love it

Yanbu. My dh only wore his wedding ring on the wedding day. He also hates all jewellery and I have to respect that. Took me ages to get used to wearing rings and occasionally I want to yank them off as I feel they're strangling my finger.

I love my wedding ring and engagement ring but haven't worn it for nearly 6 years since pregnant with second. I'm too fat but will be thin so won't resize..... I haven't cheated.

Dh doesn't wear his. He was a couple of stone heavier when we married, then a few years in he took up running and lost loads of weight, so it no longer fits. We keep meaning to get it resized but clearly aren't that bothered as it's been years. It's just a ring, if anyone wants to see a symbol of our commitment I'll show them the mortgage and five kids.
