Never had this issue when we had our king size bed and we had sheets from various shops. Usually Debenhams but sometimes house of frasier or Laura Ashley.

We bought a super king a few years ago and of course needed new sheets. Couldn't quite afford what we usually buy so I got some from tk max. But one corner of the fitted sheet always came off! I put it down to buying cheap. Eventually got some new sheets from Laura Ashley. Same freaking problem! One corner always comes off! Tried again with house of frasier and it has started happening again! I don't think I am shrinking them in the wash. What the hell is going on?! Does anyone else have this problem?

Need some new sheets but don't know where to go!!!

Dunelm mill ones stay on and we have a deep mattress with a topper as well

mirime · 22/04/2017 17:05

I've always had this with a standard double. Most of our sheets are from Debenhams though we have some emergency Asda sheets (don't ask, it involved a cat being accidently locked in our bedroom all day) and regardless of brand some fit and some don't. It is really annoying, yanbu.

We have this problem. However our mattress is v deep and need to buy 'deep' sheets for it.

Lol. Had the same problem today.

starfishmummy · 22/04/2017 17:12

Thats why I buy flat sheets

StatisticallyChallenged · 22/04/2017 17:12

Our mattress needs extra deep ones, standard aren't nearly deep enough and even deep aren't! I think a lot of sheet companies haven't kept up with chunkier mattresses

I have always bought Dvala fitted sheets from IKEA, use them on all our beds. They fit our new Hypnos mattress (with pillow top) and are 100% cotton.

topcat2014 · 22/04/2017 17:40

@thewerneth - I read that as DVLA sheets, and thought that is a funny thing for them to provide! :)

madcapcat · 22/04/2017 17:43

I have this problem too. The only ones that really fit our deep standard mattress are the ones from Costco which are expensive but feel lovely - 100% cotton and high thread count.

We bought some BedBand sheet holders last year - they are great and I would definitely recommend them.

I use White Company deep fitted sheets on my super king bed. Never had any issues and they're lovely and smooth to sleep on

MGFM · 22/04/2017 18:07

Thanks everyone. Going to buy some deep fitted sheets and see if that works.
